Gensler's Borderless Lab is a unique team that provides support to ongoing projects worldwide. As a member of this team, you will coordinate and work with a global group of architects, designers, and design managers to deliver outstanding results.
Your role as a designer involves actively participating in all phases of the design process. You must balance innovative thinking with the ability to present real-world technical solutions to new design challenges.
You are a passionate professional who combines creativity, technical knowledge, and business skills to produce functional and beautiful spaces for clients. With exceptional design skills and a background in architecture, you will contribute as an integral member of the design team, actively participating in conceptual thought processes and design exploration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Design Director in creating and developing overall design concepts.
- Formulate design presentation strategies.
- Provide creative and process leadership to multiple design teams through all project phases.
- Collaborate with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and vendors to achieve project objectives.
- Oversee and deliver documents with design intent and top-notch technical quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Architecture, or foreign equivalent.
- 6+ years of project experience in an architectural practice.
- Proficiency in REVIT, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
- 100% bilingual English/Spanish, well-written, with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures.
- Construction documentation and/or design detail development experience.
- Strong leadership, communications, and relationship management skills.
