Key Responsibilities

The Quality Engineer I is an entry-level position responsible for ensuring products meet established requirements and standards through audits, inspections, and testing activities. You will interact with various functional departments, suppliers, and external experts to implement Zimmer Biomet's Quality goals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements procedures, specifications, and standards for Zimmer products and processes.
  • Collects and analyzes data for gauge and product evaluation.
  • Identifies critical personnel, gauges, procedures, and materials needed for new product completion.
  • Ensures suppliers have necessary information and facilities to deliver quality products to Zimmer Biomet.

Requirements

  • Ability to work within a team environment and build relationships outside the department and company.
  • Ability to deliver results, meet deadlines, and have a results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to various levels of the company.
  • Demonstrates high potential for future development opportunities.
  • Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, QSR/ISO regulations, design assurance, FMEA, and product testing methods.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or alternative certification as a quality engineer.
  • 3-5 years of experience in information systems maintenance and/or quality assurance roles within an IT environment.
  • Advanced English Level (B2 or above) is required.

Travel Expectations

  • Up to 20% travel is expected.
