About The Role
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability and performance of our large-scale systems. You will work closely with Infrastructure and Technology teams to manage, monitor, and enhance databases that power critical operations.
- Monitor and Optimize: Identify potential issues, propose optimizations for scalability and performance, and implement solutions to ensure seamless system operation.
- Architect and Implement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new technologies and strategies that meet business needs.
- Ensure Data Integrity: Manage data backup, disaster recovery procedures, and restore processes to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Servers and Patches: Install, upgrade, and configure new and existing servers, including patches and new versions, to maintain system stability.
- System Resilience: Ensure extremely high levels of availability for production and UAT systems by identifying and resolving potential issues promptly and professionally.
- Automate Tasks: Automate recurring tasks to streamline daily operations and increase efficiency.
About You
- Expertise in MS SQL Server: 7–10 years of administration & development experience in MS SQL Server (2016/2017/2019) and expertise in writing ad-hoc T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Large-Scale Systems Experience: 5+ years of experience supporting high-transactional, large-scale systems with very high levels of availability.
- Automation Skills: Proven experience utilizing PowerShell for task automation and expertise in evaluating and optimizing query performance.
- Database Schema Knowledge: Skilled in evaluating and optimizing query performance and familiar with database schema and code release processes.
