Job Title: Principal IT Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal IT Project Manager to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our Global Regions ITMO, you will be responsible for leading complex projects, programs, and portfolios (PPPs) across functional and regional organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage all facets of PPPs from intake through implementation and closure.
  • Ensure PPPs adhere to all Corporate and IT policies and standards.
  • Effectively manage the constraints of project management: Scope, Cost, Schedule, Quality.
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance and recommendations to leadership governance bodies.
  • Communicate primarily and frequently with internal & external contacts/stakeholders to share information, status, needs, and issues.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree (or Master's degree).
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluent in English speaking & writing.
  • Preferably multi-lingual (Portuguese _ Spanish).
  • 3+ years of experience working with global stakeholders and business partners.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Financial savviness.
  • Understanding of PPP systems (e.g., PlanView/PlanIsWare) and methodologies like PMP, Prince II, Agile/Scrum.
  • Broad business understanding and deep understanding of own specialism(s).
  • Able to perform highly complex work activities covering technical, financial, and quality.
  • Knowledge/experience with PPP Management.

  • Quick learner with a strong drive.
  • Able to perform different roles and flexible to adapt to project methodologies (PM, Agile, team coach, etc.).
  • Flexible, pragmatic, structured, and stress-resistant.
  • Strong sense of responsibility/down-to-earth.
  • Hands-on, proactive & problem-solving attitude.
