As a Quality Assurance Functional Specialist at Scotiabank, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our global technology systems. This position requires a strong background in IT service delivery, testing, and quality assurance, with a focus on regulatory compliance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in testing activities for GEOF applications and systems, ensuring that requirements and design documentation are thoroughly reviewed and evaluated.
- Develop and review test strategies and workday estimates, contributing to the preparation of comprehensive test documentation.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring that testing is conducted efficiently and effectively.
- Provide guidance and support to testing teams, including analysts with varying degrees of knowledge, to ensure that testing is conducted in accordance with best practices and methodologies.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a stable and professional testing environment, ensuring that department objectives are understood and met.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science or information technology.
- At least 5 years of work experience in IT service delivery, testing, and quality assurance, with a focus on regulatory compliance and risk management.
- Strong knowledge of Agile and traditional methodologies, procedures, and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and mutual support.
- Fluency in English, with a strong understanding of business terminology and concepts.
