Job Description:

In this role as a Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on developing a solid data strategy and designing entire data pipelines from scratch.

You will be responsible for harmonizing and improving solutions across the organization, as well as passing on your knowledge to other engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and Communities of Practice.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience with data modelling, data schemas, and evolution thereof, as well as proficiency in Python and SQL.

Awareness of scheduling tools like Apache Airflow and interest in Big Data solutions such as Apache Spark is also desired.

This position requires a strong understanding of data integrity, cloud infrastructure, and services available for setting up and maintaining data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement entire data pipelines from scratchMaintain data integrity in cases of reprocessingUnderstand how internal or external customer data deliveries are affected by changes to softwareAwareness of data design patterns in the organization and best practicesExperience with application packaging and delivery mechanisms, including CD/CI best practices and security concerns

Benefits:

NielsenIQ offers a competitive salary range of $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Additional benefits include prepaid medicine paid 100% by the company (MedPlus), birthday day off, 40 hours per week hybrid work arrangement, unlimited employee assistance program (EAP), and flexible working environment.
