Job Description

We are seeking a talented Senior Building Automation Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Building Automation Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing control solutions for building automation systems. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning and Management

You will be responsible for attending sales turnover meetings to gain knowledge of the sales estimate and project scope. You will analyze project plans, specifications, sales estimates, and sales proposals to ensure that the project requirements and risks are understood.

Design and Development

You will create controls drawings utilizing AutoCAD software that include flow diagrams, sequences of operation, bills of material, network layouts, schedules, and electrical schematics as required. You will also check controls drawings created by other engineers for accuracy and compliance with project scope and provide feedback.

Installation and Commissioning

You will make final decisions regarding installation method and materials by selecting the appropriate mix of products and installation methods to provide the most cost-effective solution that is compliant with the project specification, applicable codes, and company standards.

Network Design and Implementation

You will design a stable, robust, implementable, scalable, and high-performing BMS communication network by determining network architecture, topology, and transmission media that are appropriate for the installation and conform to the latest network standards and project specifications.

Procurement and Contract Management

You will get approval from the customer or consulting engineer on installation methodology and materials by preparing submittal documents that demonstrate that the proposed materials, etc., are in compliance with the contract drawings and specifications.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Automation Systems Engineer with a strong background in building automation systems. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) software.
  • Knowledge of Autodeck AutoCAD software.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic theory.
  • Knowledge of the elements and building blocks of HVAC controls.
  • Knowledge of damper actuator and control valve sizing and selection.
  • Knowledge of the control strategies and logic for HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of supervisory control strategies for BMS.
  • Knowledge of BMS communication protocols and network topologies.
  • Knowledge of Honeywell DDC product offering.
  • Knowledge of the company's design standards and processes.
