Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Commercial Tire Specialist to join our team at Snider Fleet Solutions. As a key member of our service crew, you will be responsible for providing exceptional tire services to our commercial customers.
About the Role
This is a mobile role where you will spend most of your time working in a company service truck, visiting customers' locations to provide tire and wheel-related services. You will be responsible for replacing, inspecting, and repairing tires to ensure they meet DOT compliance standards. In addition to this, you will assist with branch/warehouse tasks when not on service calls. All Commercial Tire Technicians have six months to become TIA certified.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service truck, as well as personal equipment.
- Mount and dismount various sized commercial tires using specialized equipment.
- Perform tire service work at customer locations, which may include roadside, fleet, or warehouse settings.
- Repair tires using plugs and patch combinations.
- Document tire write-offs according to DOT standards.
- Monitor air gauges against master gauges daily.
- Coordinate with Service Managers to ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Ensure proper maintenance of air impact wrenches and jacks.
- Work flexible hours, including after-hours and weekend service calls.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-service vehicle inspections.
- Fully utilize company-provided cell phones according to company policies.
- Adhere to all MCSN procedures and TIA standards.
- May participate in large-scale fleet service projects, inspections, and inventory reporting.
- Develop strong relationships with customers through excellent communication and service skills.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.
Additional Information
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. This role requires a valid Class C Driver's License and insurability by company standards. A DOT Medical Certification is also required. Commercial TIA certification is mandatory within six months of employment, and Forklift certification will be obtained upon starting the job.
