Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer Manager to oversee the operational management of our data platform, ensuring high standards of data quality and integrity. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including US-based colleagues and directly interact with our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a small team responsible for maintaining data quality, handling user tickets, and ensuring overall system reliability.
  • Manage relationships with clients in various industries.
  • Collaborate with the data analytics team and external third parties to integrate data into the data lake, manage new data sources, and adapt models as changes occur.
  • Implement processes and procedures to maintain high standards of data quality and integrity, including data validation, cleansing, and enrichment.
  • Diagnose complex technical and business problems and implement creative solutions that meet client needs.
  • Apply design principles and frameworks to manage project aspects throughout the SDLC, including estimation, sprint planning, requirements gathering, architecting, developing, testing, issue/risk management, change control, and delivery.
  • Deliver presentations and facilitate meetings while adapting communication to varying audiences, including high-level stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior colleagues by providing career development goals, meeting regularly, writing and delivering semi-annual reviews, and advocating for their career advancement.
  • Work within a hybrid model, sometimes at home and sometimes in person.
  • Engage actively in our culture of continuous learning, personal and professional development, and lead community service and social gathering events.

Requirements

  • Full-stack development experience, SQL, DBT, Snowflake, or equivalent technologies such as AWS Redshift.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with US-based stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is required for effective communication with US-based colleagues and customers.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a team of developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering innovative solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Experience across all phases of the SDLC and Agile software development practices.
  • Current project leadership experience of technical teams.
  • Able to become a trusted advisor by building and managing relationships with clients, colleagues, vendors, and other industry professionals.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or comparable experience.

Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
