As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll work with our broad client base on various engagements, delivering data environments quickly using modern technologies and best practices. You'll have the opportunity to shape and build green field areas, making a lasting impact on our clients' data landscape. Collaborating closely with leadership, you'll play a key role in ingesting data for strategic business domains that can benefit from analytical insights. Your mission will be to deliver end-to-end data solutions, leveraging your expertise to unlock valuable insights and drive actionable decisions. As the driving force behind data acquisition and transformation, your contribution will be crucial to unlocking analytics insights from our clients' data. You'll ensure data pipelines are scalable, secure, and cater to the needs of multiple business units. Your expertise in developing and optimizing data pipelines will be instrumental in driving our data-driven initiatives forward. This role ensures that development follows standards, specifications, controls, audits, and procedures to ensure data integrity, quality, accuracy, usefulness, and timeliness. While the role is remote, occasional travel to the United States may be required for critical sessions. We're looking for a seasoned data engineering professional with 8-12 years of experience. You should have significant development and querying experience in SQL, as well as experience with ETL tools like Keboola, FiveTran, Matillion, DBT, SSIS, Alteryx, and others. You should also be familiar with data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake, SQL Server, BigQuery, AWS Aurora/Redshift, Microsoft Synapse, and Oracle. Your expertise in relational databases, database structures, and design, systems design, data management, and data warehouse is essential. You should also have advanced programming skills and proficiency in data processing and scripting languages like Python or R. You should be able to think critically and solve problems, and have outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or computer & information science is necessary. Experience with Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL, and other big data tools is a plus. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll develop data pipelines, stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, and establish close communication with team members. You'll also be responsible for troubleshooting system or performance issues, supporting the business during critical downtimes and releases, and acting as a technical expert. You'll establish consistent communication mechanisms with project delivery teams, follow IT auditing and systems access control processes, and mentor junior developers to improve team performance. You'll also establish relationships across the organization to build networks and leverage experts.
