Senior Accountant Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements by managing and monitoring accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems.
  • Maintain internal control safeguards for revenue, costs, and budgets, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to establish financial benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards.
  • Implement consistent accounting policies and procedures across all programs, adhering to federal, state, and local legal standards.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to protect company assets and policies.
  • Lead the accounting team with dynamic leadership, fostering an environment of trust and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • Advanced English skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software.
  • 7-10+ years of proven accounting experience.
  • Professional accounting certification, including CMA, CGA, or CA.
  • Experience with Workday is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP).
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
