The Airport Service Manager plays a critical role in ensuring seamless airport operations, aligning with our vision of being the world's best airline.
This position is responsible for overseeing both operational and administrative aspects at station level, guaranteeing smooth and efficient airport service delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement ground services strategies at the station level, taking into account customer demands and operational constraints.
- Maintain station targets and address any customer-related issues or challenges.
- Ensure high standards to enhance customer experience.
- Evaluate and propose cost-effective measures to reduce unit costs and improve customer service delivery.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the station and act as liaison between airport service providers, government agencies & authorities and senior management.
- Responsible for the Station's Operations, Safety and Security, Business and Contingency Plans, Emergency and Accidents Response.
- Guarantee that overall airport operations meet QR's standards, policies, and procedures and conform to aviation regulatory requirements.
- Support the preparation of annual budget proposals for the station.
- Manage station performance (KPI and SPI) and station readiness to any audit requirement both internal and external.
- Support new station start-ups when required and conduct GHA Technical assessments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years job-related experience.
- Relevant experience as an Airport Manager ideally with a major airline.
- Extensive knowledge of all areas of airport operations.
- Fluency in English language, written and spoken. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
- Able to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- Able to foster teamwork among team members.
- Dynamic and adaptable to ever-changing operational requirements.
- Work experience in a multi-cultural environment.
- Knowledge of program development, budget preparation, and administration.
You must also have the right to live and work in Colombia to be considered for this role.
