We are seeking a highly skilled Mediation Officer to join our team at the World Bank Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mediation services to staff members, facilitating conflict resolution and promoting a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Mediate and manage cases from intake to closure, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of workplace conflicts.
- Design and deliver training programs on conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and communication.
- Facilitate group interventions and conduct team building activities to promote a positive work environment.
- Prepare reports, case summaries, and contribute to internal publications.
- Conduct outreach activities to raise awareness about mediation services and promote a culture of respect and inclusivity.
- Provide analytical insights, conduct research, and offer professional support to the Manager.
- Identify patterns and analyze issues in the region, contributing to WBG/EIJ initiatives and activities.
- Masters' degree or equivalent in law, conflict resolution, organizational development, social science, or related field.
- Minimum five years' experience in mediating workplace disputes, preferably in international organizations.
- Certificate of professional training as a mediator (40 hours minimum).
- Proven experience facilitating group interventions and moderating team activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish, with fluency in Portuguese desirable.
- Proven problem-solving skills and emotional acumen.
- Strong theoretical base in dispute resolution, combined with a broad grasp of relevant theory and best practices.
