Job Title: Data Engineering Team Lead

As a Data Engineering Team Lead at Betsson AB, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented data engineers and taking overall responsibility for team performance. You will contribute to designing and developing our platform to fulfill business needs and improve our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of data engineers and contribute to designing and developing our platform.
  • Take overall responsibility for team performance and ensure high technical standards.
  • Define, organize, and continuously review and optimize team processes and routines.
  • Resolve and escalate impediments to team performance.
  • Facilitate open communication and coordination with other teams.
Requirements:
  • Experience in database scripts SQL, PLSQL, T-SQL, and analytical functions in SQL.
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell or Unix Scripting.
  • Development experience in both Microsoft, Linux, or cloud environments.
  • Experience with data integration tools and data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of orchestrating data pipelines using SSIS, Airflow, or NiFi.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like .NET, Java, or Python.
  • Good understanding of Big Data and cloud technologies – AWS and Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with software versioning tools like Git.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure scripting using Terraform.
  • Experience leading teams with more than 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Direct line management of people in the team, being accountable for their performance, satisfaction, and career development planning.
  • Assist your line manager in any matters that may be further delegated to you.
  • Time management, with the expectation that your time would be split 50/50 between team leadership and technical work.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Stakeholder management and work prioritization.
  • Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
