Job Title

Cloud Engineer - Infrastructure

Summary of the role:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Competency Center, where you will design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure in Azure. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring and operating large-scale cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new initiatives and drive innovation in cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy cloud infrastructure components and services to support migration to public cloud.
  • Collaborate with architects and software engineers to implement new initiatives and drive automation.
  • Conduct proof of concepts and studies to deploy new hardware or software functionalities to the IaaS platform.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and design exercises to build and automate large-scale infrastructure and services migrations to cloud.
  • Identify areas of improvement and drive automation developments.
  • Write Infrastructure as Code modules.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in cloud administration, deployments, and migration.
  • Expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, and route tables.
  • Strong understanding of network components, including Express Route, Firewalls, and DNS.
  • Experience with managing Azure resources, including VMs, storage accounts, key vaults, and log analytics workspace.
  • Good understanding and experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform.
  • Experience with scripting and coding in Python, Groovy, or shell.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, and source code repositories, such as Git or Bitbucket.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating system and software development methodologies, such as SAFe, Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
