Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Investigator to join our Threat Monitoring & Response (TMR) team at Scotiabank. The successful candidate will be responsible for detecting, monitoring, and investigating threats to our network environment and data security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple issues and threats simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Learn about new threats that can impact our organization and customers.
  • Collaborate across the organization to solve complex problems.
  • Communicate clear, accurate updates on issues, problems, and cases.
  • Manage incident calls and interface with multiple stakeholders for accountability.
  • Solutioning for multiple security domains, including Security Management, Security Engineering, Identity and Access Management, etc.
  • Analyze and investigate root causes based on security platform reporting, log files, and host-based and automated security alerts.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a Security Operations Centre or as a Cybersecurity Analyst.
  • Post-secondary education or a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience.
  • Advanced communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills in English, with Spanish being a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with working in large professional organizations.
  • Understanding of basic computing, networking, and cybersecurity concepts.
  • Curious about emerging threats and technologies and interested in applying them to the business.
  • Certifications (Sec+, CySA+, Net+, A+, CISSP Associate) are a plus.
