About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Chargebacks Analyst to join our Payments and Fraud team in Mexico or Colombia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving payment disputes, analyzing data to prevent future issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and dispute credit card chargebacks and inquiries to recover funds, including investigations and communications with external partners.
- Analyze information, think critically, and make informed decisions based on available data.
- Track and provide statistics on chargebacks for the Finance Management Team.
- Monitor and maintain fraud incident reports and other related analyses.
- Ensure all chargeback activities are handled in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Report on fraudulent vs. service-related chargebacks, actions taken, and results obtained.
- Communicate with payment processors on external partner queries.
- Compile figures from various databases to build the team's monthly chargeback report.
- Validate chargeback reports using internal and external software systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, statistics, or related fields.
- Experience in chargebacks or fraud prevention.
- Proficiency in manipulating and exploring large databases, with SQL skills and experience with Python a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and passion for discovering new patterns.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, team player, and problem solver.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
