Localization Specialist

Overview:

At TransPerfect, we're looking for a skilled Localization Specialist to join our Engineering and Quotes department. As a key member of this team, you'll play a vital role in the translation process, from quoting to quality assurance and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze file formats for localization potential
• Assess time/material requirements for project completion
• Prepare files for translation using CAT tools
• Conduct Quality Assurance procedures on translated files
• Maximize technology use in production
• Provide technical support to production, sales, and other departments
• Develop and implement productivity-enhancing procedures
• Collaborate with production, sales, and other teams

Requirements:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong written and spoken communication skills (English)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Translators and IT-related degrees preferred)
• Knowledge of file types (HTML/XML/Json/YML) and Regex expressions
• Familiarity with CAT and localization engineering tools
• Knowledge of Adobe Suite and other DTP tools
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player
• Organized and motivated self-starter with a problem-solving attitude
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Flexibility with hours to accommodate project deadlines
• Localization or technology-related experience desirable
