Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Engineer to join our team at MercadoLibre. As a Data Science Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and implementing scalable solutions for cross-functional problems within the organization. This will involve obtaining, processing, and analyzing large volumes of data from various sources and extracting valuable insights.

You will design, train, and evaluate machine learning models capable of adapting to complex productive environments and establish best practices for software development to ensure efficient and automated processes. You will participate in meetings with different stakeholders, interpret requirements, and provide visualization tools that simplify communication with both technical and business interlocutors.

You will interact with engineering teams during deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of models in production. We require 4 years of experience working on Machine Learning or Data Science projects. You must have participated in the implementation of Machine Learning solutions in productive environments. You should possess knowledge of technologies related to Machine Learning; libraries from the stack, such as Python, Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib; Deep Learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, and relational and distributed databases like Redshift, Teradata, Hive, Presto, and BigQuery, among others.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience in Machine Learning or Data Science projects
  • Participation in the implementation of Machine Learning solutions in productive environments
  • Knowledge of technologies related to Machine Learning
  • Familiarity with libraries from the stack (Python, Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib)
  • Experience with Deep Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch)
  • Familiarity with relational and distributed databases (Redshift, Teradata, Hive, Presto, BigQuery)
