Digital Communications Intern

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Digital Communications Intern to join our team at Alliance Bioversity-CIAT. As a key member of our global content creation team, you will be responsible for developing engaging written and visual content for our social media and digital platforms.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work collaboratively with our Digital Communications team and other departments to source and create high-quality content that aligns with our mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a content strategy that showcases our organization's projects and initiatives;
  • Create engaging written and visual content for our social media and digital platforms, including blog posts, social media posts, and videos;
  • Edit recorded material to transform it into high-quality final pieces for dissemination on social media platforms;
  • Provide general support to the area's activities, including assisting with event planning and execution;

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Students in their last semesters with a background in graphic design, communications, journalism, digital marketing, international relations or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of scheduling platforms (Sprout, Hootsuite), graphic design (Canva, InDesign) and elements of video editing (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, In Shot);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as knowledge of social media platforms;
  • Intermediate English level (oral and written).

  • Autonomy and proactivity;
  • Planning and organization skills;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Benefits:

This is a fixed-term contract of six (6) months, renewable depending on performance and availability of resources. The Alliance Bioversity-CIAT offers a competitive salary range of $800-$1000 per month, commensurate with experience, as well as excellent benefits, including health insurance and paid time off.
