Global Trade Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Manager to join our team at H&M Group. As a key member of our Global Trade and Customs department, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all regional import and export processes for commercial and non-commercial goods.
Key Responsibilities- Import and Export Process Management: Coordinate and manage all regional import and export processes for commercial and non-commercial goods, ensuring compliance with global rules, standards, and regulations.
- Customs Compliance: Ensure and manage efficient handling of customs formalities in cross-region trades, timely submitting entries for customs clearance, and maintaining compliance with global rules, standards, and regulations.
- Trade and Customs Optimization: Support opportunities to optimize regional customs and tax in line with local regulations and aligned with Global Trade and Customs department and strategies.
- Regulatory Expertise: Provide regulatory expertise to support global initiatives/projects and communicate with state customs and other regulators.
- Collaboration and Communication: Closely collaborate with Tax and Accounting to ensure compliance with country requirements and act as a local first contact to Regional Sales for cross-border questions for existing setups.
- Deep Expertise in Import and Export Processes: Deep expertise in import and export processes in region across all types of cross-border flows.
- Strong Understanding of Global Trade and Customs Rules: Strong understanding of global Trade and Customs rules and regulations for regional execution.
- Regional Market Environment: Solid overview on relevant regional market environment and cross-border trade relationships.
- Communication and Coordination Skills: Strong communication and coordination skills to effectively resolve day-to-day issues and drive smooth process execution.

- Strong Classification Skills: Strong classification skills, with a thorough knowledge of the U.S. HTS, Customs Rulings and Regulations, and Other Government Agency regulations governing Imports.
- FTA Knowledge: Highly knowledgeable of FTA's (particularly NAFTA), the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Code, and W.T.O. Explanatory Notes.
- Computer Knowledge: Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Time Management: Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
- Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain relationships with peers, internal customers, and vendors.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Language Skills: Must be fluent in English and local language.
