We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiology Practitioner Assistant to join our team at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various diagnostic procedures and exams, as well as assisting radiologists in performing exams.
Key Responsibilities- Perform various diagnostic procedures and exams, including fluoroscopic GI and GU examinations, fluoroscopic and/or US guided diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal injections/aspirations, and thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, and PICC placement.
- Assist radiologists in performing exams and provide clinical imaging services.
- Work in conjunction with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment.
- Participate in teaching and training of residents and fellows, and provide consulting services on work in progress and completed work to assure accuracy.
- Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients and participate in the quality assurance program to conform to federal, state, local, and hospital regulations and guidelines.
- Registered Radiology Assistant (RRA), Radiology Practitioner Assistant (RPA), or Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (PA/NP) certification.
- Board certification.
- Fluoroscopy experience preferred.
