The Freight Forwarding Expert will be responsible for administering Air Freight Operations and Customer Service processes to drive performance and profitability while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Air Freight Operations and Customer Service processes.
- Manage transport orders, ensuring timely pickup and optimizing booking processes.
- Prepare and control necessary export documents, ensuring compliance with all origin export and destination import regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to validate and finalize documents.
- Monitor performance and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving any issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance service experience and build strong relationships with customers.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, focusing on stressing a sense of urgency on behalf of the customer.
- Stay up-to-date with company systems and commodity-related certifications.
- Capture accurate costs and revenues against customer profiles, taking full ownership of financial performance.
- Process customer requests for quotations and pass on leads to Sales.
Requirements
- Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Air Freight Forwarding.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Cargo Wise Transportation Management System.
