Job Overview:

The Kaizen Company is seeking a seasoned professional to serve as Deputy Project Director for the anticipated USAID Managing Market Access and Innovative Finance (MMAIF) activity. This role will support the project's administration, logistics, procurement, budgeting, and financial accounting, ensuring compliance with USAID regulations and procedures.

About the Role:

This challenging position requires at least 10 years of experience in international development, including finance and operations management for projects of similar size and complexity. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated familiarity with USAID FAR, ADS, and other operational guidance, as well as experience leading start-up/close-out and procurement for multi-country, USAID-funded programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Director in managing day-to-day project operations, including administration, logistics, procurement, budgeting, and financial accounting
  • Cash flow management, timesheet recording, and daily monitoring of obligations, budgets, and expenditures
  • E nsure project implementation aligns with USAID regulations, procedures, and project scope

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in international development, including finance and operations management
  • Demonstrated familiarity with USAID FAR, ADS, and other operational guidance
  • Proven experience leading start-up/close-out and procurement for multi-country, USAID-funded programs
  • Bachelor's degree in management, international development, economics, or business administration; advanced degree preferred
  • Fluency in English oral and written communication
  • Authorization to work in the United States
