Job Overview:

As a Certified Medical Assistant at Johns Hopkins Medicine, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. About the Position:

This is a day shift schedule position, working Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be able to function at the highest level based on their scope of practice.

Salary Information: The pay range for this position is $25 - $27 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain vital signs and assist patients in preparation for examination or procedure
  • Record and document in the medical record
  • Ensure safe and efficient patient flow
  • Administer medications and immunizations
  • Organize the clinic environment to ensure patient safety
  • Read and interpret medical records and physician orders
  • Read and interpret equipment in conjunction with patient information
  • Display responsible behaviors and communicate effectively with others

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from an approved agency required
  • Demonstrate competency in all skills related to patient care
  • Valid BLS CPR certification required upon hire and every two years
  • At least six months of experience as a CMA required
