Job Description

We are seeking an Agricultural Research Assistant to join our team at Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be involved in a European project related to the use of new irrigation technologies to avoid soil compaction and soil-borne diseases. The role will involve working on greenhouse trials and laboratory assays to study the response of plant infection to micro- and nanobubbles in irrigation water.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting experiments and recording data with precision
  • Using laboratory equipment, including PCR machines
  • Handling and processing biological samples
  • Presenting and discussing research findings clearly
  • Working effectively in a team
Requirements
  • A Master's or undergraduate degree in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Biology, or Biotechnology
  • Proficiency in English (B2-C1 level)
  • Competence in using laboratory equipment, including PCR machines
  • Skills in handling and processing biological samples
  • Ability to present and discuss research findings clearly
  • Aptitude to work in a group
