Senior iOS Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior iOS Developer to join our team. As a Senior iOS Developer, you will be responsible for leading the development of our iOS-based products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the growth and success of our company.

• Lead the development of iOS-based products, including native apps and cross-platform apps using tools like Kotlin Multiplatform and React Native.
• Collaborate with teams of 2-5 people to ship multiple products a year, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
• Contribute to special projects, such as open-source libraries, backend APIs, and product experiments, to drive innovation and growth.
• Solve complex technical challenges and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve our development processes.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
• Participate in technical decision-making and process establishment, ensuring that our development practices are efficient and effective.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients, providing clear and concise feedback on technical approaches and pull requests.
• Minimize the need for meetings by proactively communicating through Slack, GitHub, and other channels.
• Iterate our skills and culture to ensure continued growth and success as a team.

• Experience shipping native iOS apps in Swift, with a strong understanding of iOS development principles and best practices.
• Examples of providing technical mentorship and leadership, with a demonstrated ability to grow and develop junior team members.
• Empathy for fellow team members, clients, and users, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work full-time Pacific Time business hours, with flexibility to work remotely in Canada or at our Vancouver HQ.
• Thoughtful and clear communication in various forms, including spoken, written, and visual communication.

• 4+ years of native mobile app development experience, with a strong focus on iOS development.
• Experience in technical leadership, such as leading a product or small dev team, with a proven track record of success.
• Background in a startup environment or client-services studio, with a strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
• Enthusiasm for building high-quality, customer-facing software that meets the needs of our clients and users.
• Bonus skills, such as Kotlin, Kotlin Multiplatform, React Native, or other relevant technologies.

Compensation for this role will vary depending on experience, with a starting range of $125k/yr and up to $145k/yr for a senior candidate. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental, minimum vacations, home office stipend, profit sharing, RRSP matching, and more.
