Job Summary

The Change Manager will contribute to the success of the Global Change Management process by ensuring that technology changes within production are effectively planned, tested, scheduled, implemented, and verified. This role will apply risk mitigation controls to maintain stability with the Production environment and adhere to governing regulations, Scotiabank's standards, policies, processes, and procedures for compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Use established standards, agreed-upon methods, requirements, precedents, and technical judgment to deliver on a range of assignments related to Change Management Operations.
  • Support the daily operation of Change Management operations to ensure good execution and compliance and identify any non-compliance concerns.
  • Apply working conceptual and practical knowledge in a technical discipline, understand standards, and mitigate issues and deviations from these standards.
  • Gather information and requirements to solve problems and test solutions to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Provide input into the Enterprise Change Advisory Board to understand and support the enterprise view of Change Impact across the organization.
  • Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of both training programs and process improvement initiatives.
  • Act as initial triage and provide 1:1 user support to Change Management users. This includes troubleshooting issues, answering queries, and guiding users through processes, features, and functionalities of ITSM tools.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • Support Change Management operations globally.
  • Identify and resolve technical, customer, or operational problems.
  • Comply with external regulations and internal controls pertaining to ITSM.

Education / Experience / Other Information

  • Diploma/Certificate or Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • English fluency required, Spanish ability a plus.
  • Knowledge of ITSM disciplines and frameworks, specifically ITIL, is expected.
  • English level B1+

Working Conditions

  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
