Located in Colorado, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company seeks a skilled Labor Relations Manager to strengthen the relationship between the company, associates, and union leadership. This role requires effective communication and understanding between parties to preserve common interests and achieve business objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing union relations tasks covering legal, labor, internal policies, and procedures aspects. This includes establishing regular meetings with the union, monitoring progress, and seeking feedback from leadership to promote a positive organizational climate. Proactive problem-solving skills are essential to anticipate opportunities for change before they become obstacles to the organization's strategies.
This Labor Relations Manager will plan meetings between the company and union at different levels, ensuring alignment and exchange of relevant information about the area, division, and company. Effective conflict resolution skills are necessary to resolve issues promptly and appropriately. Additionally, this role involves implementing and executing policies, strategies, and tools related to compensation, benefits, payroll, hiring, and terminations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends, develop recommendations for action based on analysis, influence through strong relationships, expertise, and data, and manage a set of stakeholders are required.
A Bachelor's degree in Administration, Industrial Engineer, Human Resources Management, or Psychology is required, along with advanced English written and oral proficiency. A Master's degree in Business Administration or Organizational Development/related areas, as well as certification in Coaching and evaluation tools, are desired. Eight years of experience in human resources acting as Generalist/HRBP, five years in HR Manufacturing under a complex and intense labor force and distribution model in multinational companies, and five years of managerial positions in Matrix organization setup and multi-national enterprise are also required. Union negotiations and labor relations strong expertise are essential.
The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000 per year, considering the location and job requirements.
