At Talan, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale data processing systems using Spark and Scala.
We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience working with Spark and Scala, software design patterns, and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Azure Databricks is a must. You should also have expertise in data integration and data management with high data volumes.
In addition, you should have experience working in an agile continuous integration/DevOps paradigm and toolset, including Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus, and Jira. Familiarity with different database structures, including Postgres, SQL, and Hive, is also required.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work closely with our Solution Designers, Business Architects, and Business Analysts to develop, test, and deploy high-quality solutions that meet and exceed internal standards. Your work will be essential in ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and alignment with our quality benchmarks.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location of the job.
