About the Role

Zimmer Biomet is a global medical technology leader, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Supply Chain organization. As a key member of our team, you will provide analytical support and technical thought leadership to drive business growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sophisticated statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques to extract insights from supply chain data and improve service, efficiency, and cost.
  • Apply data science techniques to conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze datasets from planning, production, and operations to improve the overall supply chain function.
  • Advance the development of internal data science capabilities within the supply chain organization, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) applications.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in operations and IT to enhance the quality of analysis and data science capabilities across the supply chain.
  • Translate business needs and questions into analytic projects and convert independent analytics into cohesive outputs for business consumption.
Requirements
  • Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or a closely related field with a concentration in analytics, business intelligence, and/or data mining.
  • Preferred requirement of a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or a closely related field with a concentration in analytics, business intelligence, and/or data mining.
  • More than five years of experience in computational statistics and data analysis.
  • Experience working in and/or supporting supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of medical device industry preferred.
