Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Analyst to join our team at SLB. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of employee payments, as well as maintaining compliance with Schlumberger procedures and local legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end payroll processing, including data capture, maintenance, and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with Transactions Analysts to ensure accurate and efficient payroll data capture.
  • Ensure payroll-related data interfaces into the payroll system before deadlines.
  • Perform checks, controls, and variance analysis during pre-payroll processing.
  • Obtain payroll final approval and release salary within established timelines.
  • Submit third-party payments, including statutory payments, in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with HRPS teams, third-party providers, and service providers to ensure efficient payroll processing.
  • Review and respond to employee queries or requests pertaining to payroll.
  • Comply with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain proper quality and audit controls, and maintain payroll records for audit purposes.
  • Follow escalation matrix for potential incidents and report HR service quality events.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Tax, and Legal departments to ensure payroll deductions are compliant with local legislation.
  • Generate reports for internal use, external service providers, and tax authorities.
  • Be responsible for GL posting and provide support to Management Accountants and Finance organization.
  • Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support audits of the HR/Payroll database.
  • Raise tickets for payroll system enhancements, change requests, and system issues.
  • Participate in service delivery meetings.
  • Record monthly payroll KPIs for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Serve as champion for specific activities or subject matter expert on assigned topics.
  • Participate in HR open houses.
  • Prepare yearly payroll calendars and review for changes to external events and public holidays.
  • Review and update Level 7 SWI documentation and follow up for reviews and sign-off.
  • Prepare and maintain Geo Market- and country-specific training plans and checklists.
  • Prepare training material and deliver ad-hoc knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Identify training gaps impacting service quality and escalate to manager for appropriate action.
Requirements
  • Professional or ex-SLB intern experience.
  • Payroll background with at least two or three years of experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Economy, or similar.
