Overview of the Position
A Financial Services Accountant engages in a range of accounting and treasury operations tasks, providing expert accounting services with a consultative approach to the designated organization. This role adheres to accounting principles and standards to manage the financial resources of the organization, ensuring compliance with all pertinent regulations, laws, and reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Reconcile financial accounts, record journal entries, and uphold a comprehensive and precise general ledger in line with accounting standards and reporting timelines, ensuring the organization maintains a clear and accurate financial status. Manage daily Treasury tasks within the region, including payment processing, liquidity management, hedging activities, and reporting to the central Treasury. Oversee master data for bank accounts, payment processes, banking administration, currency exposure reporting, and liquidity forecasting within the region. Take responsibility for the complete Treasury processes involved in daily operations, including Treasury accounting and closing functions. Serve as a knowledgeable advisory partner for Treasury services, offering technical accounting and Treasury guidance to managers in functional or operational areas, as well as finance colleagues. Ensure adherence to quality standards set by the organization, alongside other policies and guidelines, including legal compliance. Conduct quality assessments and secure Treasury service processes as outlined in framework agreements and/or Service Level Agreements. Address and resolve escalated issues from Treasury Administrators and others, while escalating significant challenges or inquiries to higher management for resolution. Provide feedback to key contacts regarding necessary adjustments, inefficiencies, or other potential concerns. Collaborate in identifying and implementing effective solutions within a matrix organizational structure. Follow accounting standards and organizational policies, maintaining communication with business contacts. Assist in addressing findings from both external and internal audits.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 1 to 3 years of practical experience in treasury and accounting. Familiarity with SAP solutions is a plus. Strong business acumen, communication, and analytical skills, facilitating collaboration across various functions. Detail-oriented with a high level of diligence and thoroughness. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively. High standards of integrity, serving as a role model in business ethics and compliance. Experience in complex, cross-cultural matrix organizations is advantageous. Commitment to delivering quality results promptly, fostering trust and empowerment. Global outlook.
