Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team of technologists who support and progress leading-edge solutions to meet business requirements.

\

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native applications using Java/Kotlin, Python, and JavaScript (React).

\

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including XFN and Product Management, to discuss current sprint goals and remove roadblocks during daily standups.\
  • Write clean, efficient code using Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to add functionality to our platform.\
  • Build event-driven microservices architecture using serverless technologies and RESTful Spring Boot APIs (Java/Kotlin).\
  • Work on infrastructure as code framework utilizing AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, Fargate, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, and Kinesis Firehose.\
  • Model complex product data and work with multiple data stores, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch.\
  • Pair with other engineers to deliver highly valuable and innovative products to our customers.\
  • Author Architecture Decision Records and participate in whiteboarding sessions to demonstrate continuous improvement of our engineering practices.\
  • Meet weekly with your manager for performance reviews and development planning.\
  • Maintain strong communication skills, interfacing effectively across technology teams and the business.\
  • Adhere to agile methodologies and contribute to SDLC activities.\
  • Ensure seamless integration with Restful APIs and an understanding of microservices architecture.\
  • Apply experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.\
  • Utilize CI/CD pipelines in every development project.\
  • Effectively document architecture, design, and implementation details.\
  • Take ownership of issues and bugs throughout the entire software development life cycle.\
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.\
  • Engage actively in code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge sharing with colleagues.\
  • Enhance personal growth through self-directed learning, attending workshops, and conferences.\
  • Foster collaboration and open communication within the team to achieve shared objectives.\
  • Participate in meetings to ensure alignment between development priorities and overall business strategy.\
  • Suggest improvements to processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and productivity.\

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.\
  • 2-5 years of experience in software development with expertise in back-end object-oriented programming.\
  • Background in integrating Restful APIs and understanding of microservices architecture.\
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.\
  • Excellent English communication skills.\
  • Sound SDLC skills and experience in an agile environment.\
  • Possess analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues.\
