About the Role

The Director of Plant Quality for Cartago leads a team of professionals to ensure full compliance with GMP/QSR practices and standards. You'll demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

You'll interface with Operations, Research & Development, and Regulatory Affairs functions to accomplish quality objectives. Establishing quality systems and plans will be crucial to ensuring the design and manufacture of high-quality products.

This role requires strong leadership and direction skills, as well as the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. As a representative of Boston Scientific, you'll interact with outside regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Your Responsibilities
  • Providing leadership and direction to the quality management team
  • Building strong relationships with internal colleagues and external regulatory bodies
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Directing and controlling the quality budget
  • Communicating quality policies and strategies to the organization
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, plus 9-12 years of experience in the medical device industry
  • Experience leading large teams and managing complex operations
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and methods
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Location

This role is based at the Cartago site in Costa Rica, with occasional travel to other locations.
