Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong financial analysis skills and be able to maintain accurate financial records. They will also be responsible for reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and ensuring timely financial reports.
The Staff Accountant will work closely with our back-office team to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies in coding, payroll entries, and reconciliations. They will also perform mid-month and end-of-month procedures for assigned clients in accordance with standard operating procedures.
In addition, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for closing the books and producing the monthly reporting package by the 8th business day of the following month. They will also act as a point of contact for bookkeeping liaisons and provide support for financial analysis.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. They will also have proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets, including QuickBooks Online and various payroll programs.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Strong competency in general accounting principles and practices
- Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
