The role of an Accountant II in our Corporate Controlling team involves overseeing statutory reporting, external audit management, and financial control activities related to tax, treasury, and legal transactions.

As an experienced accounting professional, you will be responsible for coordinating the statutory accounts preparation process, overseeing local statutory audits for all Equinix LATAM legal entities, and ensuring rigorous adherence to control fundamentals that safeguard our organization's financial posture.

This position requires a strong understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS, as well as familiarity with various LATAM local GAAPs. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in addressing complex financial challenges.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage reorganization, M&A, and Legal Entity formation transactions in accordance with local GAAP requirements. Additionally, you will provide insightful review comments to accountants, following up to ensure timely corrections and maintain local GAAP accuracy.

A successful candidate will possess solid experience in performing accounting operations, preferably in a public accounting firm or large multinational organization. Experience in managing multi-country statutory reporting and regulatory compliance will be highly valued.

In this role, you will contribute to maintaining Equinix's reputation for excellence in financial reporting and ensure that our organization remains compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
