Position Overview: Java/Angular Web Application Specialist
Kualty is in search of a dedicated Java/Angular Web Application Specialist. We are seeking an experienced individual who excels in full-stack application development, particularly with Angular, Java, relational databases, and object-oriented design principles. The ideal candidate should possess a strong drive to meet project deadlines and tackle technological challenges.
The successful applicant will become a vital member of a high-stakes and dynamic development team, contributing to the modernization of transportation operations, which encompasses Kualty's yard management processes.
As part of our innovative Transportation Modernization Team, you will:
- Engage in the creation of advanced web applications that address complex business requirements.
- Support existing applications while developing new solutions from scratch, exploring design methodologies, prototyping, and assessing technical feasibility.
- Oversee all facets of development, including design, coding, testing, and maintenance of essential systems.
- Operate in a dynamic setting to deliver robust back-end processing and forward-thinking user experiences while ensuring high-quality software.
- As a development contractor, you will play a crucial role in guaranteeing that deliverables align with expected outcomes, participate in key initiatives, and mentor junior developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver innovative and engaging web applications utilizing the latest software technologies.
- Manage multiple project requests concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Development teams, and Stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external vendors and teams to gather and validate business and technical requirements.
- Identify design challenges and formulate effective technical solutions.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with industry best practices and coding standards.
- Thoroughly comprehend requirements and develop detailed software designs.
- Continuously enhance and enforce best practices in coding and UI/UX standards.
- Perform comprehensive requirements analysis and work effort estimations.
- Participate in all agile ceremonies, providing insights, status updates, and feedback to ensure team success.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Manage CI/CD pipeline and deployment processes.
- Participate in rotating on-call production support.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 6+ years of experience in full-stack application development with Java and Angular (TypeScript) technologies.
- Strong proficiency in Java, including data structures, algorithms, enterprise systems, and asynchronous architectures.
- In-depth knowledge of web services architecture and design (REST/SOAP), including security implementations.
- Comprehensive understanding of Angular 12 or newer, and state management (NGRX or Redux).
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
- Proficient in data modeling and database programming (DB2 LUW, CockroachDB, and/or MS SQL Server).
- Familiarity with UML and design patterns.
- Understanding of networks, firewalls, load balancers, and the ability to provide requirements to the infrastructure team and assist with troubleshooting.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum).
- Knowledge of continuous integration tools: Jenkins, Nexus, JUnit, SonarQube, GIT.
- Experience with RedHat OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative environment.
- English proficiency at B2+ level (applications accepted only from candidates meeting this requirement).
