About the Internship

The Alliance Bioversity-CIAT seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Digital Communications team as an Intern Student-Digital Communications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing written and visual content for our social media and digital platforms, as well as supporting the organization and digital promotion of our research portfolio.

The position will be based in the operations center of the Americas, located in the Campus of Palmira, Colombia.

  • Work with the Digital Communications team and scientific departments to source content for our social media and digital platforms.
  • Create engaging content (writing, editing, proofreading) for our social media and digital platforms.
  • Develop attractive audiovisual content that aligns with our mission and objectives, including conceptualizing and producing videos showcasing our projects and initiatives.
  • Edit recorded material to transform it into high-quality final pieces for dissemination on social media platforms, involving shot selection, audio adjustment, and adding graphics or special effects as necessary.

Requirements

  • Students in their last semesters, suitable for internships in graphic design, communications, journalism, digital marketing, international relations, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of scheduling platforms (Sprout, Hootsuite), graphic design (Canva, InDesign), and elements of video editing (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, In Shot).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Intermediate English level (oral and written).

Terms of Employment

This is a Colombian national search, managed through a fixed-term contract of six months, subject to a probation period according to local legislation, and renewable based on performance and availability of resources.
