Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Professional to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for organizing, controlling, and conducting the company's accounting activities to ensure they meet legal standards and provide clear, timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the organization's tax payments and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
  2. Provide necessary accounting and financial data to regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
  3. Produce financial and accounting reports for managerial decision-making and strategic planning.

Accounting and Financial Expertise

  1. Enforce IFRS standards, verify their application, and ensure their efficacy in our accounting practices.
  2. Cause the company's accounting records to be maintained in accordance with legal and fiscal stipulations.
  3. Execute and review periodic closings as defined by the company.
  4. Compile and authenticate interim and annual financial statements, including notes, following prevailing regulations.
  5. Deliver reports as demanded by business units, audit institutions, and the statutory auditor regarding relevant matters.

Requirements

  1. University degree in accounting with a valid professional license. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and tax regulations in Colombia (experience with other countries in the region is an advantage).
  3. Analytical, innovative, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  5. Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
  6. English at B2 level or above (mandatory).
  7. Conversational Portuguese is an advantage.
