About the Role:

We seek a seasoned Finance Controller to lead financial excellence in adidas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business functions to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business growth.
  • Manage cost objects and support cost owners in all financial tasks, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning.
  • Perform month-end closing, ensuring compliance with accounting policy and IFRS standards.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to inform business decisions.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure effective financial planning and control.

Requirements:

  • Advanced financial controlling skillset.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of synthesizing complex data and developing solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate with internal and external parties.
  • Comprehensive business understanding of processes and structure.
  • Problem-solving mindset to operate cross-functionally and understand external business drivers.
  • High degree of customer orientation.
  • Process-avid, result-oriented, and solution-minded end-to-end thinking.
  • Project management skills, including planning and organization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the system landscape with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment with different international cultures.
  • Innovative and inspirational team player.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Spanish is a plus.
