About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Reporting Lead Analyst to join our team in Colombia. As a senior professional, you will be responsible for driving the generation, analysis, and submission of reports to various constituencies based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting.

This position is critical in applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to directional strategy and serve as the Public Account of the Citi Group in Colombia (CPA).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and Coordinate: Oversee the performance and compliance of all processes within the Local Financial Reporting team.
  2. Analyze and Submit Reports: Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies, including local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc., adhering to US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting requirements.
  3. Closing Books and Sub-Ledgers: Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing necessary adjustments and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period.
  4. Operational Discipline: Instill operational discipline into existing team processes.
  5. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, establishing guidelines, implementing controls, and executing strategic plans.
  6. Mentorship: Mentor and advise on directional strategy by analyzing subject matter and its application within the role and the business.
  7. Policies and Procedures: Assist with the implementation of policies and procedures.
  8. Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical mentor for an area within the business.
  9. Product Reporting and Analytics: Build and maintain a thorough understanding of related product reporting and analytics, utilizing knowledge of systems and process flows to provide insight and recommendations on identified issues.
  10. Independence and Autonomy: Operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercising independence of judgement and autonomy.
  11. Risk Assessment: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: 6-10 years of experience in Financial Services preferred, with Global Project Management experience also preferred.
  2. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Proven ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
  3. Organizational and Time Management Skills: Proven organizational and time management skills.
  4. Communication Skills: Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  5. International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS): Knowledge of IFRS is required.
  6. Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of regulation of the Financial Superintendence is also required.
Education:
  1. Bachelor's Degree/University Degree: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  2. CPA in Colombia: CPA in Colombia is mandatory.
  3. Master's Degree: Master's degree is preferred.
  4. English Language Proficiency: English Level B2 is required.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
