We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Scotiabank. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall success of the Support and Services Units in Canada, Colombia, and globally.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data architectures that lead to the creation of functional reports for all levels.
- Build, analyze, and manipulate large amounts of data to support business strategies and objectives.
- Provide strong reporting and analytical information support to the management team.
- Identify process improvements for increasing business efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain awareness of best practices in data analytics and adopt a continuous learning model.
- Create and improve automated processes for different operations.
- Understand how risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
- A recognized undergraduate degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, or MIS.
- 3+ years of practical experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics fields.
- English proficiency (minimum B1+ level).
- Skills in statistical and analytical tools such as Python, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and Power BI.
- Ability to develop value-add reporting and analysis in previous roles.
- Knowledge and experience of reporting and analysis, development of KPIs, and industry best practices of analytics.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in data mining, construction of predictive models, and data modeling.
