About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architecture Lead to join our team at Unosquare. As a key member of our data architecture team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data management strategy.

Job Summary

The Enterprise Data Architecture Lead will be responsible for leading the design, documentation, and analysis of business architecture in their area, providing recommendations to ensure the delivery of integrated, holistic solutions. This includes keeping up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Set the architectural direction for the data domain aligned with business goals, creating and advancing the data architecture vision and strategy.
  2. Lead project-level architectural reviews, ensuring alignment with architectural deliverables, principles, strategies, and standards.
  3. Maintain a holistic view of data assets by designing and documenting blueprints that illustrate how data is stored, processed, and accessed.
  4. Foster collaboration efforts, capitalizing on the talents of others to achieve established goals, coaching, mentoring, and assisting with problem resolution.
  5. Facilitate the delivery of targeted business outcomes through architectural decisions.
  6. Develop models, architecture design work products, and new technology innovation initiatives within areas of responsibility and for the enterprise.
  7. Collaborate with enterprise, solution, and domain architects to understand the implications of respective architectures on data architecture and maximize the value of information across the organization.
  8. Work with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to drive effective data management standards and policies across the organization.
  9. Provide recommendations on business information that will need to be available and shared consistently across the organization.
  10. Assist data and analytics leaders, business, and IT leadership in developing data strategy and governance processes and structures.
  11. Lead the creation of models, technical standards, and architecture design work products within areas of responsibility.
  12. Lead technology portfolio prioritization efforts and own the management of technology portfolio within areas of responsibility.
  13. Expand the use and successful delivery of information across the enterprise, resulting in improved decision-making.
  14. Provide strategic recommendations to maximize the value of enterprise data assets, including the external data ecosystem through data exploitation, envisioning data-enabled strategies, and enabling business outcomes through analytics, data, and analytics governance, and enterprise information policy.
  15. Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data management, storage, and analytics.
  16. Provide insight into the relationship of data to business objectives, applications, technology, principles, and standards.
  17. Represent enterprise architecture by advocating and sharing knowledge, building credibility for an initiative by presenting evidence, and ensuring individuals affected are included in the process from the outset.
  18. Participate as a member of one or more architectural review boards that ensure architecture quality and compliance.
  19. Lead short- and long-term initiatives and road mapping efforts that drive change and gain support for proposed solutions.
  20. Work with multiple teams under Enterprise Data Management, acting as a leader to influence enterprise direction/approach and the strategic planning process.
  21. Educate business and IT partners on information architecture, contributing ideas, and making recommendations to improve the process followed for work products, making it more efficient and effective.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience working in a data architect capacity with multi-platform, distributed applications.
  • 3+ years' managing effective data teams focused on data monetization initiatives.
  • 3+ years' experience with Agile, Six Sigma, SDLC, and industry-standard data management & data governance methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, including complex data structures, data transformations, and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of leveraging unstructured data, including imaged documents, 3rd party data, web traffic data, etc.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture design concepts.
  • System modeling and diagramming approaches.
  • System integration techniques and patterns.
  • Understanding of information security and industry security best practices in regards to data.
  • Experience with multi-platform, distributed application implementations across SQL Server, cloud-based data warehouses such as AWS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience working with cross-functional teams, and presenting to leadership.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in a related field.

What We Offer

Unosquare offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
