We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our energy advisory services in Colombia. As a seasoned expert in the field, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding our presence in the Latin American market, and developing client relationships.

The Position

This role is instrumental in developing client relationships, strategic approaches, capabilities, and establishing a strong pipeline of work for Arup's energy advisory sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading winning and delivering projects while strategically developing the full range of Arup's energy service offering within Colombia in coordination with the Americas Region team.

You will work closely with the Office Leader and the energy team from other offices to develop and implement a strategic plan for our energy advisory services in Colombia. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying and securing a successful energy business pipeline, building strategic client relationships, and positioning Arup's reputation at the highest levels to drive new developments.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 15 years of operational experience in engineering and project/design management in the Energy sector, gained in a consulting environment or associated industry.
  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or finance preferred.
  • Proven record of managing large projects, mentoring, and providing team leadership.
  • Experience and interest in the project finance industry.
  • Excellent coaching skills and experience in managing people.
  • Experience in renewables is highly desired.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish.
  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
