Job Description

As a Financial Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and managing financial data for multiple clients. You will collaborate with junior bookkeepers to improve overall accuracy and efficiency, assist in developing and implementing best practices for financial management, and contribute to the growth of the firm by maintaining high standards of work.

You will also prepare and post journal entries for accurate financial reporting, perform payroll reconciliations and ensure payroll accuracy, review and validate financial statements prepared by junior bookkeepers, analyze and reduce the use of 'Ask My Accountant' items, conduct thorough reviews of categorized transactions, and assist in improving processes and workflows for better efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with a focus on advanced tasks
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and Wave accounting software
  • Strong understanding of journal entries, payroll processes, and financial statement preparation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot and correct errors
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with US accounting standards and practices
