Job Summary

A Senior DevOps Engineer position is available at Intellectsoft to work on a biotechnology research project. The project aims to provide clinical genetic testing and precision medicine solutions. We seek an exceptional engineer to manage Linux environment designs, automate build and deployment procedures, and oversee IT infrastructure.

About the Project

The main focus of this project is Clinical Cancer Diagnostic. However, it is designed to expand into additional areas such as Molecular Diagnostic Testing, Cardio Genetics, Neuro Genetics, etc. Patients are central to the project's mission, driving partnerships with non-profit organizations to support them and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Linux environment designs, including administration, security enhancements, OS upgrades, and issue resolution.
  • Automate and implement build, deployment, validation, and configuration procedures.
  • Partner with the operations team to architect IT infrastructure.
  • Oversee releases and maintain various environments.
  • Establish network security and disaster recovery protocols.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proficiency in AWS CI/CD, Code Pipeline, and general support.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Proficient in administering and troubleshooting Linux OS, with bash scripting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo).
  • Experience with various build, automation, IaC, and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Terraform).
  • Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, AWS SNS, AWS SQS).
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Aurora, MongoDB).
  • Understanding of networking, DNS, Route 53, and AWS IAM policy management.
  • Experience managing storage concepts (e.g., S3, EBS).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog).
  • Proficient in troubleshooting complex issues.
