**Sustainability Coordinator**

**About the role**

British American Tobacco is seeking a Sustainability Coordinator to join our team. As a Sustainability Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating, executing, and controlling the implementation of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies, programs, and procedures with national and corporate scope.

**Key responsibilities**

  • Conduct bimonthly audits of all commercial agencies on EHS, identifying risks and executing action plans in all areas, as well as preparing accident reports and regional reports.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual EHS training plan, in accordance with the risks and needs of the business, maintaining personnel trained in safety and industrial health topics, preventing accidents and environmental impacts that the company may generate, as well as industrial accidents and emergencies.
  • Evaluate the risks of distribution processes, and apply preventive and corrective safety actions, based on the needs of the company and legal requirements, with the aim of minimizing any possible risk.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS policies, standards, and procedures established by the EHS Department, with the aim of establishing a safe and healthy work environment for personnel, as well as business continuity.
  • Coordinate and execute external and corporate audits, national and international.
  • Coordinate all COPASST activities. Develop EH&S management indicators to keep personnel informed of progress and generate corrective and continuous improvement plans.
  • From the unions related to EH&S, with the aim of maintaining and promoting good relations between workers, unions, government entities that may have a negative impact on business continuity.
  • Ensure the follow-up of EH&S management indicators to keep personnel informed of progress and generate corrective and continuous improvement plans, as well as monitor the established plans in the fulfillment of ESG objectives.

**Requirements**

  • Professional in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Safety and Health Engineering, Occupational Health, Medicine, or related fields.
  • 5 years of experience in safety and health.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with a health and labor risks license.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through extracurricular activities.
  • Intermediate level of English.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Motivated and ambitious.
  • Strong business sense and strategic mindset.
