About the Role

As a Software Engineer focused on our mobile app, you will be responsible for solving complex challenges in our highest-traffic applications. You'll collaborate with your team to build out features and products in our React Native-based mobile app, providing support for our mobile app as a platform and working closely with engineers from multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within our cross-platform TypeScript React Native app to build and maintain new innovative product features.
  • Actively learn new areas of the product and collaborate with owners for different product features.
  • Be an active participant in design/architecture discussions.
  • Hands-on with our codebase and a contributor to code reviews.
  • Work with the team to continuously build clean, scalable, robust, and testable code.
  • Assist in planning, estimations, and completion for projects brought up by the team stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's in computer science (preferred) or equivalent related experience.
  • Familiarity with modern Frontend Development, Javascript or Typescript, with React Native or React (web) experience strongly preferred.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience developing and delivering a mobile application to a mobile app store.
  • Knowledgeable in writing automated tests for applications.
  • Familiar with the basic principles and design of React Native Apps, and RESTful APIs.
  • Closely familiar with software engineering tools, software development methodology, and release processes.
