Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Social Sustainability Consultant to develop socially sensitive and sustainable solutions for engineering challenges in Colombia and the Americas South region. As part of our Environmental Consulting | Sustainable Investment Advisory team in Bogotá, you will collaborate closely with the Advisory team in San Francisco, Houston, New York, and the Americas Region. Our SIA advisory team is a center of excellence, accelerating sustainable, resilient, and inclusive investments, securing access to sustainable infrastructure. We apply international sustainability frameworks to address client issues and create inventive, creative, and practical solutions that enable society to thrive and deliver more sustainable infrastructure.

The OpportunityYou will identify and develop innovative solutions to social impacts and risks. Independently evaluate, select, and apply domestic and international E&S standards related to FPIC's, resettlement, and land acquisition processes, grievances mechanisms, stakeholder engagement, archeological surveys, and labor & work conditions. Coordinate and consult with local regulatory agencies on project scope and impact when necessary. Attend meetings with clients to address their needs and discuss social and environmental issues. Carry out field visits and verify compliance with environmental and social standards. Manage and produce proposals and reports, including for E&S Due Diligence and Monitoring processes in Colombia and Latin America. Ensure quality of deliverables. Mentor junior colleagues with a focus on developing excellence in social consulting. Plan and conduct business development activities.
To excel in this position, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, or any Social Science-related profession
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in infrastructure projects (roads, energy, rail, ports, urban etc.) or environmental management
- Demonstrated experience consulting with communities (managing consultation processes, citizen participation, resettlement processes, and/or social impacts and management measures)
- Knowledge of international and national regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication skills essential for team-based working
- Must possess excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills with colleagues and clients of all levels in English and Spanish

The estimated salary for this position is around $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
